Freeeeeee At Last!!!!!

Those three days held me captive!  But it's over.

Until maybe next week.  'Cause you're supposed to do the three day diet and eat sensibly for the next four days and then do it again until you're satisfied with your weight.

I won't say that I lost a ton of weight because you know ya Rambler was doing her ownnnnnn thing.  Robbing Peter to pay Paul!  More like robbing the tuna to drink tea, hehehe!  But I do feel good.  Did some cardio today too, so yeahhhhh!  Brrrrrrrrrrring on the chocolate!!!!!!!!!

No
Don't
Don't bring on the chocolate.

Just yet!

So I will see you guys tomorrow!  I had to come and see the diet off with you guys!

I'm off to Skype now..........yayyyy me!  (Dance of joy!)

Tuna? I-I don't See Any Tuna!

They send you off smiling with this diet!  Until dinner, that is!  If anything played with my emotions today?  It's the Day 3 menu!  Breakfast was crackers and cheese and an apple!  Delish!  Anyone else out there lazy to eat an apple.  I am.  If it's cut and suddenly out of nowhere, appears in front of me, cool.  But to actually walk to the refrigerator and reach out and grab one?  Uuuuuuuurgh!  Never crosses my mind.

Have you ever tasted the green apple with curry powder, salt and vinegar?  Mannnnnnnnn, you gotta!!!!!!!!  You mix some curry powder, some salt and some vinegar in a little saucer or bowl, whatever floats ya boat and then you cut pieces of apple and dip it in there and mmmmmmmm-M!  My sour glands are reacting!  It's something we eat with green mango as well.  You can also eat it with oranges.

'nough about that.  Disturbing my acceptance of the lunch I'm allowed!

Boiled egg on toast, it's gone-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Dinner?

A can of tuna
Half a banana

Barstardic I telya!  Don't look at me that way, it's the first time I've heard it too.  You know something's bothering me when I start making up words and dinner?  Yeah, dinner is bothering me, so.......

I will simply not!  Eat the tuna.  I will not torture my taste buds, they're running down my throat right now remembering the tuna from day before!

But see?  One thing that I should never have read?  Was surrrrre, sneak in some tea and deduct it from the calories of something else, coz part of my tuna?  Is going on tea!  The other part?  Cleverly, I made sure to boil two extra eggs for tonight.

End of Day Two!

That headache? Followed me all the way home, together with nausea! I thought maybe my pants hahahahahahhaha, I thought maybe my pants were too tight and they were causing high blood pressure to any parts above it but that wasn't it! 'Cause once I had something to eat? It eased to the point of extinction!

However? I had to do some wheeling and dealing with the calories and the food items because when I got home?! I was ready to drop from hunger and pain and was in no mood to grill chicken and wait so I swopped my calories for a slice of brown toast and peanut butter! 120 plus 100 calories! The meat portion was meant to use up 320 calories. At that point I felt generous enough to apportion 20 calories to the each 5 calorie cuppa tea and coffee that I drank today. I know right. Selfless!

Ya Rambler was like F her! O_O! Ahhhhhhh, see? You thought this hungry woman was so angry that she started cursing at female carrots! No! I had to feed this person. Me!

But I'm good now! Headaches gone! Eye sight is being tortured with the torch from my cellphone pointed straight at me! Yeah, yeah, we have no lights. We're officially walking backwards towards the stone age!

Meanwhile? Our President has a R4million pool that he's dubbed a "fire pool". O_o! Never heard of a fire pool? Well you have now! He stated that the "feature" that some say is a mere swimming pool (how dare they not see it for what it is!) is part of the security upgrade because the water can assist in fire fighting should there be a....well a *cough* fire!

Okay.

O-KaY! I too envision him and his many offspring running for buckets at a time like that.

Maybe that's why the dam's empty. That water heard about the fire pool and was like f#?* it! Enough we're being used to clean asses! Now we're security too! I'm outa here! Sink sink sink.

Hmmmmm...Headache?

I think this is actually normal for switching either to low carb or low calorie but I have a headache right now and I don't feel the best.  I remember my Atkins days....ohhhhhh my Atkins days.  HARRRRRRRRRRRDWORK.COM!  OMG!  But?!?!?!??!  The fat melts off!  Only thing is when you decide to STOP?  Wherever it melted to?!  It finds it's way back to you....with company!  Which is why the maintenance after the diet is just as important 'cause it's not the cutest thing watching months of hard work fall by the wayside.

On the upside, though?  You know the glass is always half full, don't you?  Lunch was great!  Had 5 saltine crackers, a slice of cheddar cheese (say no to cottage cheese....especially if its a whole cup full) and a boiled egg!

This diet is not difficult to follow but I do find myself feeling hungry during the day.  Like, dinner last night?  I felt full.  Even kept my apple for later.

Anyhoooooooooooo-------I.  Must.  Go.  On.

Headache or no headache.

Hunger or no hunger.
(I say that like I mean it, don't I?)

Day Two: Surviving!

I had coffee (shouldn't have) but, hold on, hold on!  The faq's told me that I could.  And if the faq's said I could.......then it's the truth.  As adults, hahahahaha, the faq's become what teachers were when we were kids!  Always right!

So now I just have to deduct those calories off something else.  I'm thinking that broccoli tonight?!?!  What you think?  I might have enough coffee today to equal the amount of broccoli I should be having for dinner.  Black, sweetnered (yes, I meant to say that) coffee is like 5 calories I believe.  Hmmmmmmmm........The broccoli I have to eat isssssss---------------35 calories, so seven cups of caffeine?  Let's see how that goes.

Ohhhhhhh, the choices we have to make whenst thin thighs we wanst and canst eat broccoli without sauce!

Breakfast was a boiled egg and toast and half a banana.  I quite enjoyed it, I will admit.  You know?  And I'm not sure whether you do the same thing but when I'm on a diet, I have visions of continuing to eat this way until..........I don't?  Because, see?  Chocolate, right?  Chocolate.

That's it.

No further questions, ya honour.

Dinner Day One

It wasn't too bad. I barely had time to think about it between rushing home and then preparing my food items while cooking dinner for my son with enough time to shower before the lights went out.

Can't say I enjoyed the green beans AT ALL but I will say that my mouth full of sweet teeth enjoyed the hell outa the vanilla ice-cream. Although? I'm more of a chocolate ice cream kinda rambler but beggers can't be choosers right now.

So ya rambler was munching whatever was ready first between stirring and washing up as I was going and now all I have is an apple left to eat. Went from eating smoked ham to ice-cream to half a banana to green-cough-beans-choke and now I'm staring at the apple. I do enjoy green beans, curried! Boiled? Uhhhhhhhhhnotsomuch!

Sitting here now, waiting for the darkness to appear like a thief in the night. Uuuuurgh! And it came! This lights out shit is still no fun. It woulda been a whole lot more fun if I had my better half right here with me but hey? We can't have evvvvvvvvverything, right? And it's only a matter of time anyway.

Gratitude first!!!!!

I have more love than I could have ever imagined and that's what matters. Not not having electricity for two hours! That fades in comparison to what I do have.

Have yaselves a good evening! I'll see y'all tomorrow!

3-DAY Military Diet: Day One

Yesssss!  Yes, I'm at it again!  >_<!  Don't judge 'cause if IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII don't do these things?  Then how will you know whether or not they work?!  Thaaaat's it.  Be nice.

So, Sharde' and I start the diet today.  The morning went great.  Had to have a slice of wholewheat toast, 2 tablespoons of peanut butter and a cup of black tea or coffee.  I was smiling all the way to the sink!  The dishes won't walk there themselves!

Come
lunch
time?!?!

We had to have a can of tuna.  A slice of wholewheat toast and a cup of black tea or coffee.  Doesn't sound so bad, does it?!!  My mouth?  My mouth was giving in.  Like it was ready to give up 42 years of chewing knowledge just so that it didn't have to deal with that---that----uuuuurgh!  Look, I love tuna, with mayo and chilli.......tuna on the f&%$n rocks!?!?!?!?!

NO!

I sent Sharde' a message to tell her, "Lawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwd help me with this tuna!!!!"  You know when you're in such a struggle to either chew or swallow that your eyes begin to water?!?!?  My memory was frantically trying to dive over the tuna torture of years passed with this VERY same diet but my taste buds grabbed it by the collar and yanked it back, "Ohhhhhhh f%$# no!  You, will, not, leave, me, here, to, die, alone!"

O_O!

That was me!

She hadn't started her tuna punishment as yet!

No sooner do I manage a swallow!  My phone whatsapp message tone goes off and I read her message, "OMG!!!!!!!!!  All I'm saying to myself is vanilla ice cream, vanilla ice cream!"  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  I reply with, "Me tooooo, I was tryna convince myself that it was prawns!"

Needless to say?  Lunch was a horror!  Meanwhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhile!  Back on the military diet site?  I go snooping around for some kind of light at the end of the tuna tin and find out that we coulda used salt, pepper or any other zero calorie seasoning!  Nevermind that Sharde' DID ask me if we could and I told her, ('cause it issssss the military diet afterall) "It doesn't say we can use salt or pepper."  I coulda whipped my damn self.  But I'm not a fan of pain.  Well, not that kind anyway, hehehehe!

Tonight we're having banana and green beans and some type of meat.  No seriously.  It says, some type of meat.  -_-!  I think a small apple and vanilla ice cream.  No seriously.  It says, a cup of vanilla ice cream.

I'll be back to report on dinner!

Dextrocardia with Situs Inversus

That's not Marshian for welcome to August! Damn! >_<! My nostril burns! You know when you keep wiping and wiping and it gets kinda sick of you wiping and wiping it? And then it's just like, "can't get no mf privacy on this face! Take this, you serial wiper!" Yeah! I got angry nostrils right now.

Dextrblahblahblah though? It's the condition that I was born with. I'll explain just now but I was sitting last night with sinus up to my ears and a cough that's acting like a possessive boyfriend! Identity issues much? Actually? This very moment? I'm still suffering in sinus. Uuurgh!

So I remembered reading many years ago-----something about hayfever being linked to this condition. So I googled it. Google is ya friend! I am a googler, omg! And I'm proud to say that my memory? It still works.

Here's what I copied off of the site I found;

What Is Dextrocardia?
Dextrocardia is a rare condition in which, instead of being in the left side of your chest, your heart is located in the right side. Dextrocardia is congenital, meaning that you are born with this abnormality. Less than one percent of the general population is born with dextrocardia, according to the Texas Heart Institute Journal (Yusuf et al., 2009).

You may have dextrocardia and have a completely healthy heart. (THAT'S ME, BY THE WAY). This is called "isolated dextrocardia." People with isolated dextrocardia are sometimes affected by a condition called "situs inversus." Situs inversus is a situation in which your liver, spleen, or other organs are also located on the opposite side of your body.

Some people with dextrocardia suffer from other heart and organ problems related to their unique anatomy. (THISSSSSS???? NOT ME!). Surgery may be required to correct complications with the lungs, heart, or digestive system in these cases.

Causes of Dextrocardia. (I ALWAYS FIGURED THAT MY MUM AND DAD WERE HANGING UPSI----nevermind)
The cause of dextrocardia is unknown. The heart may form in the right side of the chest during fetal development and function normally. This is usually the case when the heart is a "mirror image" of a normal heart. In other words, the heart's ventricles, arteries, and other structures are all arranged in a mirror image of normal heart structures.

Sometimes, the heart develops on the opposite side of the body because other anatomical problems exist. Defects in the lungs, abdomen, or chest can cause the heart to develop on the right side of the body. You are more likely to have other heart defects and problems with other vital organs in this case. Multi-organ defects are referred to as "heterotaxy syndrome."

Symptoms of Dextrocardia.
Isolated dextrocardia usually causes no symptoms. (CLEARLY SINCE I WAS DIAGNOSED AT 5YEARS OLD OR SOMETHING RIDICULOUS! I WON'T EVEN BEGIN TO IMAGINE HOW THEY MISSED THIS WHEN THEY WERE CHECKING ME OUT AFTER BIRTH) The condition is usually found when an X-ray (YUP! THAT'S HOW IT WENT DOWN) r magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the chest shows the location of the heart on the right side of the chest.

However, some people with isolated dextrocardia have an increased risk of lung infections, sinus infections, or pneumonia. (HERE WE GO! SO THIS COULD ONLY MEAN ONE THING. I'll BE SNIFFING FOR LIFE-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!-----------THAT-THAT WAS MY NOSTRILS! I'M TOO CLOGGED UP TO CRY RIGHT NOW.). According to the National Institutes of Health, reduced function of the cilia in the lungs can accompany isolated dextrocardia (NIH, 2012). Cilia are very fine hairs that filter the air you breathe. When the cilia are unable to filter out all viruses and germs, you may get sick more often.

Dextrocardia that affects heart function can cause a variety of symptoms, including:

breathing difficulties
blue lips and skin
fatigue
failure to thrive in children
These symptoms are consistent with defects in the ventricles of the heart. Lack of oxygen reaching the heart can make you tired and prevent you from growing normally. Abnormalities that affect the liver can cause jaundice, a yellowing of the skin and eyes.

Some children with dextrocardia also have holes in the septum of the heart. The septum is the divider between the left and right heart chambers. Septal defects can cause problems in the electrical system of the heart, and the heart rhythm can become irregular.

Some babies with dextrocardia are also born without a spleen. The spleen is a major part of the immune system. Without a spleen, there is a higher risk of developing infections throughout the body.

Treating Dextrocardia
Dextrocardia must be treated if the abnormality prevents vital organs from functioning properly. Pacemakers and surgery to repair septal defects can help the heart work normally.

Antibiotic medications will be prescribed to prevent infection if the spleen is missing or not working properly. Long-term antibiotics may be used to fight off respiratory illness. Although medications reduce the risk of infection, individuals with dextrocardia may still suffer from more infections than the average person.

You will also be watched for abdominal obstruction. Abdominal obstruction, also called bowel or intestinal obstruction, prevents waste from exiting the body. The placement of your heart on the right side of the body makes blockages in your digestive system more likely. This is because dextrocardia can sometimes result in a condition called intestinal malrotation, in which the gut does not correctly develop.

Intestinal obstruction is dangerous, and can be fatal if left untreated. Surgery is required to correct obstructions.

Long-Term Outlook
People with isolated dextrocardia are likely to live a normal life. Those with more complicated cases may face health problems throughout their lives. Even with surgical repair of heart defects, frequent illness is to be expected. Males with cilia problems may be infertile due to the resulting decreased ability of the sperm cells to propel themselves forward and fertilize the female egg cell.

WHAT I DID REALIZE EARLIER ON? WASN'T THAT THIS WAS SO RARE. I REALLY DIDN'T KNOW THAT I WAS PART OF A 1% OF THE POPULATION OF ANYTHING. MORESO, I REALIZED THAT SHOULD I NEED AN ORGAN? ITS GONNA BE LIKE FINDING A NEEDLE IN A HAY STACK. -_- NOT. COOL. AND THAT'S BECAUSE OF THE VALVES AND THINGY'S BEING ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE TO THE 99% OF THE POPULATION.

THE ONLY REASON I'M TYPING IN CAPS IS BECAUSE I WANNA DIFFERENTIATE MY TYPING FROM THE COPIED PIECE.

SO I'D REGISTERED AS AN ORGAN DONOR A FEW YEARS BACK JUST IN CASE ONE OF MY FELLOW DEXTROCARDIANS MIGHT NEED SOMETHING THAT I WASN'T USING ANYMORE.

THIS CONDITION? THE TIMES THAT I'VE BEEN IN HOSPITAL? MAN, THAT WAS FUN. AT MY LAST HOSPITAL STAY, WATCHING THE NURSE AT THE ULTRASOUND?!? THAT WAS HILARIOUS, CAUSE SHE TRIED TO MAKE OUT LIKE THERE WASN'T A PROBLEM AFTER SHE KEPT ASKING ME IF I HAD OPERATIONS BEFORE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! YOU KNOW ME! I KNEW WHAT WAS GOING ON SO I ASKED HER, YOU CAN'T FIND SOME OF MY ORGANS? AND SHE WAS LIKE, "NO-NO...LEMME-LEMME JUST CALL THE OTHER NURSE!"

UNTIL I TOLD THEM THAT MY ORGANS ARE NOT WHERE THEY'RE LOOKING-----ITS ON THE OTHER SIDE HAHAHAHAAAHAHHAHA!!!! THE RELIEF!!! PRICELESS! AFTER THAT? I BECAME A SPECIMEN. "PLEASE DON'T MIND US, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE'VE HAD A PATIENT WITH THIS CONDITION!" I WAS STAYING IN FOR A CYST OP, NOT LIKE I WAS GOING ANYWHERE SO I LET 'M KNOCK THEMSELVES OUT!

SAME THING WHEN I WENT TO HAVE THE CYST REMOVED FROM MY BREAST? AT THE X-RAY? "CAN I-WAIT? CAN I DO THESE AGAIN? SOMETHING LOOKS------I'LL BE RIGHT BACK!"
SO I WAIT AND I HEAR HER SAYING TO THE OTHER NURSE WHILE SHE'S WAITING FOR THE REST OF THE X-RAYS TO PRINT, "THIS IS SO EXCITING! I'VE NEVER HAD ONE BEFORE!"

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAA!

ANNNNNNNNNYHOO! I GOTTA GO AND LAY DOWN NOW, I'VE TAKEN TONS OF MEDS TODAY HOPING THAT MY SINUS COULD SETTLE DOWN.....NOTHING!

Oooooooops! My Bad!

I blame my freezing flinching fingers and a mind that's running faster than my thumbs are typing!

Correction: The cost of the "security upgrade" to the Presidents Nkandla Estate was over R230 million.

NOT R23 million. Incidentally, it was initially reported to have costed around R23 million. But hey?!? Who's counting extra zero's when they're not paying for it? Or when a huge population of your people are without food and shelter!

Not Zuma! That's for damn sure!

Random Complaint

Well? I'm sure it's anything BUT?!? However, I'm still sitting here in the dark, wondering about why the lion share of the school holiday brightly drifted by without loadshedding and the very day that school starts up again? BAMMMMMMM! Or is----is it.......CLICK?!? Whatever! Still it makes no sense to me and I'm sure it never will.

It just goes to show where education really stands on the rank of importance in this country. That and the fact they're soon introducing, if they haven't already, a Grade 9 certificate. So kids? Aaaaaaaaaah, leave school in Grade 9 if you want. Not to worry. Not like scores of university degreed students can't find work. You'll be okay. With your Grade 9 certificate.

Excuse me while I throw up in my mouth over this continuous stupidity. But?!?! Lemme not dwell. I'm cold but in a goodish mood. I don't wanna mess with my goodish mood. It's too cold not to be in a goodish mood.

Either way, winter is no time to sit without electricity. :-( That thought makes me feel both guilty and grateful but also heavy-hearted that there are children and adults out on the streets right now freezing their asses off in this rain and cold without a bed, a blanket, the possibility of a hot shower or a door to close. Yet some people find it quite alright that an upgrade for the presidents village for him and his hundred and one wives and children at R23 million is an acceptable way to spend our money. Why not numerous shelters around the country instead? Why not?!?!

And oh oh oh oh wait? That's still not the bottom line figure anymore 'cause apparently the security is not good enough and we're about to foot that bill.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHACough-uuuuuuurgh-EWWWWWWWW!!!!

More throw up.

You know what? Lemme hit the shower and shift my thoughts to August.

Finished The Front and....

Herrrrrre it is!

I'm halfway through the back and one sleeve. I got bored with knitting the sleeve and started on the back. Lol! I know. I know. As if it's any different right? But thaaaaaat's me. Don't snicker. You can laugh. I don't mind being laughed with.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd! There go the lights once again. It's crazy that we don't have loadshedding for ninety nine point six percent of the school holidays and as soon as they go back to school?! Yeah......you guessed it!

Oh well? Knitting by cellphone torch it is!

Circumcision and the Super C's!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still here!  Between work and circumcisions?

-_-

No, not mine.  I'm-I'm a girl.

My son however, had a very valid question though.  Upon reflection caused by a very painful willy-wops?  And it wasn't sooooooo much a question, it was more a statement-question.  "Ayyy Ma?  Why weren't we just born circumcised?"  I was tempted to tell him, "Look Sugar?  The scales of justice have to be balanced somehow.  There had to be sommmme form of punishment for Adam being a weak ass 'coz lawwwwwd knows we've paid the price for Eve's manipulation."  But I chose to agree with him instead.

This is not easy on us mothers either, lemme tell ya!  Me?  I couldn't even go into the room when my kids were getting their vaccinations without wanting to cry for them.  On the occassions that their father came with us, I'd let him go in with them and I'd sit out and wait.  Seeing that needle and their baby skin ---------- oooooooooooo-NO!  My son was asleep one time and I hated him waking to the sting of the needle in his thighs....horrible, just horrible!  So having to go through this with him was not something I will say that I enjoyed.  But I will say this.  The first two days are the worst, after that he was able to take care of it himself far as ointment applying and managing the discomfort.

So Thursday saw the Super C's (that's a name Sharde' and I came up with for my ex-husband, my son and her son), Thursday saw them all lined up in the hospital beds of the Day Clinic Ward, ready to have their lives change!  For the better.  I promise!  No really.  See?  It’s times like these when one shouldn’t concentrate on the happenings of now but to consider the benefits to the future.  Their futures.  Yours too, if you’re considering having this procedure.

And after talking to a friend of mine?  She said that her husband told her that after being circumcised, it's heightened his sexual pleasure ten-fold!  Ten-fold!!!!!!!!!  Do you know how many fold that is when we’re talking sexual pleasure.  I’ve never had a penis but I’m sure it’s a whole lot!  I guess because the head of the penis is so sensitive and now there isn't that foreskin covering it, just straight----------------just straight---------ahhhhhh come-on, you know what I mean!  So, my ex-husband will thank me later for pushing him to do this.  I’m giving him two months and the next time he visits us, I will demand a full report on how many folds better it was.  Hahahahahahahaha!
I’m kidding--------but for the sake of knowledge, you know?  I should require a report back.  Ya Rambler doesn’t want to find herself rambling on here and sending scores of men to have circumcisions and then have to hang her head in shame ‘cause it turns out that it wasn’t ten-fold better.

But if it is, then he surely will be happy that he took my advice.  Not so sure about his partner.  'Cause if it's better than it was, then she’s about to put in some overtime!  Hahahahahaha!  Not only that?

Look at this.

This article states that the possibility of contracting STD's are significantly less in males who are circumcised.  I've seen articles that state that it reduces the possibility of contracting HIV by seventy-percent!  And since we live in a country where the disease is running rampant?  Best to be safer that sorrier!

While we were in the hospital, my nephew asks my niece, "Why didn't you tell me, I want to do it too...."  We sure did laugh at the fact that that Day Clinic Ward coulda be filled with our family's uncircumcised males 'cause my ex-husbands nephew is also about to get the snip-snip.  Group therapy of sorts, LOL!

If you're a male?  Uncircumcised?  I’d say, get it done.  Surrrrrrrrre, it's gonna be painful for a few days and you might be forced to wear ya mum/wife/partners dresses or you may even walk like a hunchbacked cowboy for some time, but at the end of the day, it's for your own good.  Plus when it's all healed, it looks so cute!

O_o

Wha----?

Penis' need confidence too, come onnnn!

As Promised!

I've completed the front and back of my pullover, now on the sleeve?  But??!?!?!??!?!  I'm about to open them because I found a better stitch...hehehehe!  You will thank me on the 15th February 2016!

See wurrumsayinnnnnn with those holes?!?!?  A-hem!

Now?  I'm off to breakfast, great start to my Monday morning!
